Theater-lovers in the city, here is something for you to check out today. The multilingual play, ‘Reflections’, will be staged today (16th of May 2012) at Ernakulam Town Hall at 6.00 pm, by the students of University of Hyderabad (UoH). You would definitely love to check this out. The play is organized by ACT, A Centre for Theatre in the city of Kochi. ACT has organized some lovely shows in the Kochi, and this one would also be something worth checking out.
The play is directed by Noushad Mohamed Kunju, who is the Reader in the Department of Theatre Arts at UoH. A fifty-five minute play, ‘Reflections’ is a deviation from the normal norms of theater. He has directed umpteen plays and has staged them at various places across the country. From Girish Karnad’s ‘Hayavadana’ to Anton Chekhov’s ‘The Seagull’, Noushad has been there, done that! Six artists from different parts of the country are taking part in the play.
Maybe you cannot find a typical storyline in ‘Reflections’. The play breaks all conventional types of theatre. And that is why you need to witness this one! See you at Town Hall today.
