whoa nice post!! good to know that women speak up for themselves but why’s it that Cochin is so angry all the time? I have anger management issues n I guess it must be our gene pool… and hence the nicotine craving.

Dear MST,

I don’t hate smokers but I do hate the whole notion of smoking, be it among men or women. I don’t have a problem if they smoke in private or among other smokers but doing it in public makes people passive smokers and that is something i cannot agree with. Just yesterday I saw a man telling off someone else who was smoking near a pregnant woman. Arre baba, if you want to kill yourself smoking then do it na, it’s your personal choice. But involving unassuming people in it is not so very nice.

Anyway, as much as I didn’t agree with some of the things you said, what I liked the most about this post is your egalitarian attitude. For some time now I’ve been wanting to come to Kerala and work in Kochi but the mere thought of how I will never be able to enjoy (and sometimes exploit) the freedom I get in Bombay makes me want otherwise. But friends in Kochi tell me that the place has changed a lot and I think I saw those changes when I came home this summer. Your post is yet another assurance to my faith.

Anyway, it’s well written and you’e earned yourself a reader

Wat came to me is how far we can make ppl involve by jus posting a small topic! Amazing!!

Apart frm all those abusive languages… Am fine with all the views… May be we can read thru it once again and try to learn how to communicate without foul language…(on a lighter note…some times we may not be able to avoid them..)

I hate smokin, but i don’t hate smokers…. Wenever i see someone who smokes, i hold my breath till he/she has walkd away from me. I am gud frnds wit a few smokers, bt i ask dem not 2 smok when i’m around and i do tel dem abt d health part, bt its not like its somethin they aren’t aware of. But i think smokers shouldn’t smoke in public, cuz passive smoking is more dangerous. Learn to care4othrs around you…

its a topic which keeps on coming up everywhere now n then everywhere..n no matter what i jus dont get it when they ll get it in2 their thick skulls….to quit smoking!!!!i jus hate it wen i see ppl smoking..n thank God i havnt had the chance to a lady smoke till now, except for foreigners!!!
