So we got the metro rail coming in to Kochi. Making use of all the steam Kochi is not going to try and bag a Metro City status. The state government is going to take up the task of elevating the city to a metro status with the central government. According to the authorities Kochi satifies all the parameters to acquire the metropolitan status such as infrastructural facilities, education avenues, healthcare facilities, social infrastructure, literacy rate etc.

So what comes with the title of being a metropolitan city? We are not sure but ut is acknowledging the fact that we are awesome!
