The Centre for the Study of Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy at the Cochin University of Science and Technology plans to organise a seminar on ‘inclusion of the excluded – agenda and strategies’ in Cochin.
The main objective of the centre is to find out the degree of inclusion of the hitherto excluded regions/groups and categories like SCs and STs and other marginal communities. The aim is to build partnerships within the academia for furthering good quality research on groups that experience structural discrimination and marginalisation. It would also facilitate uncovering the nuances of the contemporary agenda of social inclusion and debate challenges of differentiation based on disability, gender, age and race.
