Times have changed..! and so has Kochi..!
A decade ago nobody would have dreamt that Nettoor in Maradu Panchayat would transform into a popular destination of global automotive majors. Automotive companies have set up their shops on either side of the four-lane highway far away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
One can see showrooms of MGF Hyundai, Audi Kochi, Geo Motors showcasing Mitsubishi vehicles, Koyenkco Autos and many more dotting the highway.Concorde Motors of Tata, Mahindra Renault, Nippon Toyota and Geeyem Motors have showrooms in close proximity. Volkswagen Cochin, Platino class -BMW, Peninsular Honda and Rajasree Motors selling Mercedes Benz have hi-tech showrooms to lure high-end buyers. Old war horse Ambassador too finds a place in the Geo Motors showroom on the highway.

Companies foresaw the growth of the calm and serene area and started acquiring land decades ago. Now they are reaping the benefits of that very investment.
Several companies have invested in land on either side of the highway. Once the much awaited Aroor bridge across the Vembanad lake is completed, it is expected that more automotive companies will open shops in Nettor alongside the Bypass .
