Chinese restaurants in Kochi, no more authentic

he authenticity of our Chinese restaurants has always been at stake. And sadly, Kochi has never had the opportunity to taste ‘the real Chinese food’ ever. Even though with a few restaurants ‘claiming’ to serve good Chinese, we know that it is more or less the usual business tactic to attract customers. Hence, the question here arises. Is it that Kochiites are not fond of Chinese, or is it easy to cheat on us (like what is happening in the current scenario)?

Experts have claimed that Kochi, as of now, does not have a real bona fide Chinese restaurant. It seems, even the names for the restaurant (which are written in Chinese) is fake! Well, this goes not only for Chinese. We see the same trend happening for North Indian, Continental, etc. We must admit the fact that, however smart we are (as we think so :D ), our restaurant owners and entrepreneurs are making quite a good fortune by playing this smart prank on us! And we, the unlucky ones, always end up in these restaurants, mainly because we do not have ‘any other choice’.

For our city where even authentic Kerala food is hard to find, North Indian and Chinese reliable food is out of question. But let’s pray for a day, when we shall get to taste some real genuine food!

Fan Fang is nicely located so that it can be easily located from the intersection after the South Overbridge. With a subtle chinese look from outside and less so inside, don’t let the decor or ambiance fool you. Just because it does not fit exactly into a ‘chinese’ ambiance doesn’t make the restaurant’s food taste bad. Well lit and airy, the simplistic spartan style may be liked by those who prefer good food to cosmetic appearances.
Food itself is hot and piping, the kitchen is open to your gaze so that you have your heart at ease and your stomach growling waiting eagerly wishing that each order that comes next is yours! Soups take a deviation from your regular ‘chinese’ menus.
