This haven where you find fashionistas from across the state is starting a new Fashion Design course. For all the ladies out there who wanted to pursue their studies in fashion and update them everytime, here is something for you.
The prestigious institution has introduced a new course for Undergraduation. Their new course B.Sc in Apparel and Fashion Design is now ‘talk of the town’. With an extremely talented faculty and right guidance, aspiring students can reap the best out of this course. The course was inaugurated by D. Purandeshwari, Union Minister of State for Human Resource Development. Design-thinking would be highlighted for the course, and students get a chance to acquaint themselves with the latest updates in fashion.
The course will begin next academic year, and details on the number of seats (available) etc. would be put up soon by the authorities. Kochi does not host many colleges that offer fashion designing. This new course would definitely be a blessing to many. Moulding fashion designers who would be of use to the society and nation, the course is all set to hit Kochi soon. So who all are applying??

Fashion and life style exhibition organizer, Fashionista is looking at tier-II and non-metro cities of South India for its fashion exhibitions.
The company promoted by television actor Pawan Shankar plans to organize 16 fashion exhibitions in India next year.
Currently, the company has presence in Gujarat, Maharashtra , Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. They are now targeting tier-II cities of South India such as Vishakhapatanam, Coimbatore and Cochin.
There is a demand for fashion wear in tier-II cities of the country but resources are limited. Fashionista aims at proving them with new fashion wear with affordable prices through their exhibitions. Apart from this, fashion exhibitions help new and growing fashion designer. Through its exhibitions, Fashionista also provides a platform to local designers. The company organised 10 fashion exhibitions in India during the year 2009.
The company started its journey in April 2008 with its first fashion exhibition at Nagpur.
