Grand Hotel dining, grandeur promised

So much has been discussed and talked about the best restaurants in Kochi. As we all know, there are hardly many restaurants that serve continental, ‘naadan’, Chinese, and North Indian the way it should be served :D ! But yeah, we do have an option if we go to some real big restaurants and pay some real nice amount for the food. Well, Grand Hotel in M.G Road can be called as one such restaurant that serves good food at a ‘not-so-cheap’ rate. The Appam and Chicken stew that is being served at The Grand hotel is more than mind- blowing. Even though you pay quite an amount, it’s definitely worth the money. But the continental is not worth mentioning. Some of the continental beef dishes that they serve are not at all admired. And lo! We get some mock tails as well. But again they aren’t worth the money charged! Neither does it taste any good, also it’s too much for the ‘common man’s pockets’. But the ambience of Grand hotel is faultless and you can drop in anytime with your family and friends. They have their classic vibes and the service too is good. So Kochiites, dine in a grand way!

Coffee and cake

Coffee and cake

Kashi Art Café deserves a spot in my list, not because of its serene ambience and excellent music or the art that is showcased, the menu is very meager considering the fact that we are centering on food in this article. But Kashi beats most ‘Coffee-shops’ in terms of the coffee they have by miles. They have the best coffee that I have tasted anywhere and it’s a common consensus that people concur with me. The French pressed coffee comes in the press with milk and sugar separately provided for us to mix according to our taste. Their Lemon Iced Teas and Cold Coffee’s are to be savored with their chicken sandwiches. The icing on top of the cake and we are talking about the cake here literally, is their home-made Chocolate cakes doused with their chocolate sauce. Nothing beats having these and just relaxing to music.
Kashi offers what many café’s can’t seem to provide, the best coffee served in the idyllic location of fort Kochi. It is located in Burgher Street near the Delta public School in Fort Kochi.
