‘Sufi Gospel Project’ Show at JT Pac


The ‘Sufi Gospel Project’ is a show which Kochi would love to check out. Vocalist Sonam Kalra, along with her team will be performing in Kochi this month. Vocalist Sonam has performed at many national events and has been lauded for her beautiful performances. Embracing the typical Sufi melodies, this band has some splendid tunes to offer music-lovers.

Blending Indian instruments that include the flute, tabla, sarangi along with western tunes from the guitar and keyboard, the ‘Sufi Gospel Project’ has marked their presence in Indian music through uniqueness and class. You will have Sonam Kalra on the vocals, Ahsan Ali Khan on Sarangi, Brennon Denfer on Bass, and Rajesh Prasanna for flute.

The first performance of ‘Sufi Gospel Project’ was in the year 2011, and ever since then they have made a mark for themselves. The event is happening on the 30th of November at JT Pac. The show begins at 7. 30 p.m.

‘Hard Places’ Play at JT PAC


What is the newest event happening at Kochi’s art hub? ‘Hard Places’ at JT Pac it is! This international play by Mercury Theatre Company in U.K, is being staged in Kochi for the first time. And they quite have a good treat for theatre-lovers in the city.

Taking a peep into the lives of people who have been divided by politics, ‘Hard Places’ has something for everyone. The play is directed by Chris White, Produced by Rebecca Gould, Shernaz Patel, Rajit Kapur and Rahul da Cunha. ‘Hard Places’ is scripted by Farhad Sorabjee. The cast includes Nabil Stuart, Jasmina Daniel, Shernaz Patel in the lead roles.

‘Pune Highway’ Stops in Kochi, at JT Pac


JT Pac is geared up with their next big show, which is scheduled to happen this weekend. This time, they are presenting a comic thriller named ‘Pune Highway’. The play is written and directed by Rahul D Cunha, and is based on friendship and crisis related to it.

The star cast is something you would definitely want to check out. You will have Rajit Kapur, Shankar Sachdev, Yamini Namjoshi, and Ashwin Mushran in the lead roles. The story revolves around a group of friends who stay in a hotel at the Bombay-Pune highway, and the related incidents that happen.

‘Me, Kash and Cruise’ at JT Pac this weekend

‘Amores’ at JT Pac

‘Class of 84’ at JT Pac


JT Pac presents yet another play for theatre lovers in Kochi. Writer-Director Rahul Da Cunha’s play ‘Class of 84’ is something which you would love to check out. The plot surrounds a group of friends, their times of happiness and sadness, cheers and smiles and lot more. Having completed more than 200 shows across the nation, ‘Class of 84’ was first staged in the year 2003.

Seven friends come together after a long time, and they hadn’t kept in touch over the years. But no matter how many years have passed by, they still remained friends. Death of an eight friend causes terrible grief to the other seven friends.

T. Radhakrishna Performs at JT Pac


Listen to some mind-blowing Sitar tunes this Friday. T. Radhakrishna, the Sitar maestro, will be performing at JT Pac on the 9th of June 2012. The show will begin at 7.00 p.m. Radhakrishna, who has showcased his talents at umpteen national events, was trained from Pt. Ravi Shankar’s School of Sitar.

He was also trained by Sitar expert Pt. Ramarao from the age of 14. His love towards music and Sitar has borne wings from then on. Radhakrishna has been conducting Sitar classes, and his music is appreciated and applauded across the nation.

So if you are a Sitar fan, or if you would love to listen to some Hindustani tunes, then make sure you drop in at JT Pc tomorrow. You wouldn’t want to miss this! Limited seats only, so reserve ASAP!

‘Love Letters’ to be Staged in Kochi
