I saw this really pretty girl at a party my friend was hosting. She looked liked she was someone I would be comfortable talking to. I watched her every move during the party, almost stalking her. I was looking for common friends who could score me an introduction and at long last I get hold of the host and pleaded him to get me introduced to this girl. He agreed and thus I was introduced to Beverley.

Once the conversations started, it was piece of cake for me to take it into high gear. Soon I was hinting at exchanging numbers and making plans to meet for coffee after work during the week. Conversation continued well after the party and into the next few days. Excitement reached dizzying levels on the day of the date. I even made it a point to finish one of our calls during the day with ‘ So its a Date’ .

I got out of work early, showered and armed myself with an intoxicating smell of very expensive perfume, hoping it would act as an aphrodisiac and I wait for her at the coffee shop. She arrives well in time and for me the date was going great. We spoke about a lot of things, stuff that caught my imagination and settled her very well into my imagination. As I was hoping to take it to the next level and ask her to carry forward the coffee to dinner, this random guys waves at her and comes straight to us. She introduces me to him and vice versa and then decides to tell me that this dude was her boyfriend. DISASTER!!! DISASTER!!

I ended up having dinner with a couple who was not too shy of PDA (Public Display of Affection). And all I could hear in my head was loud shouts of DISASTER!!  DISASTER!! And a few choice words I wanted to tell that dude that cannot be written here…
