The YMCA TEAM SAM ERNAKULAM DISTRICT SCRABBLE CHAMPIONSHIP, 2012 will be held at YMCA, Indira Nagar, Kadavanthra, Cochin-20 on Saturday, 11th August, 2012. There will be categories for Men, Women, Juniors Under 18 & 15 years. The 4 round king of the hill league matches will commence from 10 a.m.
The tournament is being organised by the YMCA, Indira Nagar in association with Team Sam Academy under the auspices of the Scrabble Association of Ernakulam. This tournament is open to all residents of Ernakulam District. The International word list equivalent to Collins Scrabble Dictionary will be used for adjudication.
A class on Two letter words of Scrabble with their meanings will be conducted from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Age proof required for Juniors. For registration details call 9846042421 or 2314307.
Team Sam Academy also gives advanced training in Scrabble topics such as Rack Leave & Management, Tile Tracking, Anagramming, Word Power, Bingos, Stems, Hot Spots, Open/ Closed Board Play, Tile Turnover, Opening theories and End game Finesse.
